Cross-Media Marketing

Digital + Web + Print = Measurable, Successful Marketing Solutions

Offered in addition to traditional print marketing, cross-media marketing solutions give you the advantage of using different mediums to capture consumer interest and interact with your audience at a highly-personalized and more strategic level. Grow your customer base, generate leads, gather consumer information and go-to-market knowing the right message for the right audience.

  • PURLs (Personalized URLs) PURLs are personalized web pages that offer content specific to a particular consumer. PURLs can be emailed to someone or printed on a direct mail piece. Example: janedoe@rittersoffer.com. PURLs allow you to interact with your respondent to gain information from them. This includes survey questions, asking for their email or physical address, setting appointments, or asking their opinion on a new product. You can continue the conversation and test a variety of marketing messages and calls to action. Whether you are offering a printable coupon, a survey, or simply collecting data, all responses are tracked to each individual in real time allowing you to sit in the driver’s seat measuring results and deciding on the next customer interaction.
  • GURLs (General URLs) A general URL has similar function as a PURL and is a great way to create a call to action for your potential customers in order to build your customer database. Usually incorporated in a direct marketing campaign, users follow the general URL to a web page with your company’s information. GURLs are easy to implement and allow you to gather valuable information while measuring the results of your marketing campaign.
  • Landing Pages A landing page, sometimes called a lead capture page, is one that appears when a potential customer clicks on an advertisement. Landing pages present information in text, images or video that is relevant to the user. The goal is to persuade the visitor to fill out a form for contact information, thus “capturing the lead” for your customer database. The quality of a landing page is measured by its conversion rate, or rate in which visitors take the desired action.
  • QR Codes QR codes are matrix barcodes, or two-dimensional codes readable by smartphones. The codes are usually featured on print material, direct mail or promotional items in which consumers can photograph the QR code. Their mobile device then translates the QR code into text or a URL that they can follow to get additional information such as videos, photos and coupons. This method of cross-media marketing generates user interest and gives them information instantly. It can be used in a wide range of mediums from magazines and postcards to billboards to give consumers more information on your company’s products or services. It can also be integrated in a PURL campaign so each QR code is personalized to a prospect.
  • Augmented Reality (AR) tags AR tags are three-dimensional codes. The difference between a QR code and AR tag lies in the user’s ability to manipulate holographic objects and immerse themselves in a virtual world. AR tags create an interactive and digitally manipulative environment.
  • Invisible Watermarks Invisible watermarks can be compared to QR codes, however, they are invisible. As an example, if you hold your smart phone over an image with an invisible watermark, it will pull videos, photographs or URL’s associated with that image.
  • Variable Data Printing Variable data printing is direct marketing that provides personalized print pieces for each individual. Variable data can be variable text, variable pictures or variable offers. Not only will it capture their attention, variable data printing is customized to give content relevant to each consumer. From their name to promotions and past purchasing habits, variable data printing offers attention-grabbing personalized information that leads to increased responses and sales. In fact, variable data printing can generate response rates 3 to 10 times higher than traditional direct mail.
  • Email Marketing Email campaigns are a highly effective, immediate and cost-efficient method for acquiring and retaining customers. The direct, personal messages provide measurable results and trackability down to each individual’s response. Ritter’s will help you design effective email campaigns, integrating cross media channels such as PURLs and direct mail to develop the marketing solution best for your company’s needs.
  • Phone Tracking Phone tracking works by assigning unique, trackable phone numbers to a marketing campaign and gathering information from callers. The information can include geographical data based on area codes, a referral source, or caller ID data to include in your customer database. Phone tracking gives real time leads to optimize marketing campaigns based on measurable results.
  • Campaign Management Balancing a cross media marketing campaign with PURLs, GURLS, landing pages, QR codes, variable data printing, email marketing and more can be a challenge to execute. Ritter’s streamlines the process for seamless execution of multi-channel marketing to give you more ways to communicate with your audience.
